Your VetSelect healthcare team knows and understands the importance of pets to their human families.  Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all of our clients who have lost one of their four-legged or feathered friends, their fish or their reptiles.  The poem, Rainbow Bridge, expresses this well.  We would be pleased to post pictures and writings regarding your lost pets.

 Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.  There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.  There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy tears and kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My Beloved  Cappuccino,

Magpie aka Maggie was big part of our lives and was with us where ever we went.  She was really a big dog in a little dog suit.  She loved everyone and everyone loved her.  She was such a little cutie when she wanted you to do what she wanted, and she always got her way.  She took care of mom after her stroke.  She also loved Dr. Sayles.  When it was time for a checkup we would ask if she wanted to see Dr. Sayles and she was ready to go.  She was way too smart for her own good.  Thank you Vet Select for all the love and attention you have shown to Maggie and us.

"Over 16 years ago, we went to a shelter to adopt a kitten. I wanted to save an older kitty as I thought they would be less likely to find a home, but my husband wanted to view one of a litter they called the “Three Stooges”. We sat in a private room with “Curly” and at 8 weeks old; he crawled into my husband’s lap and fell asleep! We took him home the very next day. Curly was re-named Moishe and he was an absolute terror as a kitten! We used to bemoan that he wasn’t a lap cat. Tearing around the house, clawing everything in sight, climbing to the highest heights (my husband spent time on the roof trying to catch him!) and constantly trying to escape the house. But as time went by, our little terror became very cuddly and sweet. He was the absolute joy in our lives, our little family of three. Sadly, Moishe passed away on January 12, 2015. Some say he had a long life, but it wasn’t near long enough for me. “If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever”. We love & miss our baby. Tammi & David Deutsch"
Thank you.
Abbey was found in a field in April 2007.  She was given to a rescue unit in Novi.  It took until Dec 2007 before she was ready for adoption.  We found her on the internet at the Novi location.  We met the care taker at the Petco in Novi in Dec.  You could have her for 2 weeks to see if would work out. There was no two weeks for her, we adopted her immediately.  She was a wonderful pet, very lovable and smart.  One of her tricks was get into the treat box and put them between the cushions of the chairs for later.  I took her for walks three times a day; sun, rain, snow, she was always ready to go.  Friendly to everyone, especially children.  Her best friends were are other pets, Sabrina the cat and Winston the dog.  We enjoyed our time with her and we miss her every day.

The staff at Vet Select are the greatest and they always made sure that she was always in the best of health.  I would like to thank them for all the health care they provided and I recommend them for all your pets health needs.

Thank You, Abbey

Elvis started his life adventure with me as a 5 week old rescue from a factory in 1996.  He was the first pet I had as an adult and was a good friend to my wife and I for over 19 years.  I know he felt he had a good home too because he always wanted to be by one of us.  While Elvis was only a patient of Dr. Sayles the last two years of his life there is no question the care he received in that time was the best.  I thought I would be okay when his time came May 14, 2015, but I was not and the staff at VetSelect made it as comfortable as possible.  We will miss you buddy…  Lance & Pam Hall

I've attached some pics of Cali Rakowski for the memorial website

Cali was a great dog and member of our family.
She was always a great companion and no matter how bad a day you had at
work, she would put a smile on your face.
Her personality was almost human in most ways.  She will be deeply missed

Thank you
I've attached two pictures of our Charlie for your website memorial page.  If you can only use one, please use the head shot.  Below are the memories to be included with the picture.  Let us know if you need anything else.
Thank you,

For Memorial:

Our beloved Charlie joined our family on March 22, 2004.  From that day on, he never left our side.  He was a wonderful friend, protector and all-around goofball!  He left an imprint on our hearts that will never be forgotten.  He passed away peacefully, with the loving help of Dr. Henry and Dawn, on October 13, 2016.  He will live forever in our hearts.  We will always love you our beautiful boy.
